Our Ministry — B E D R O C K

Bedrock is more than a name, it’s a refuge.

We exist to serve pastors, ministry leaders, and families who are in need of deep, inner healing and lasting restoration. Whether they're walking through trauma, abuse, marital crisis, or personal brokenness, we come alongside them with compassion, truth, and the healing presence of Jesus.

At the same time, we are passionate about equipping others, leaders, counselors, and ministers, who feel called to bring hope and healing to the broken.

Through our own story of pain and redemption, alongside years of training and Spirit-led ministry, we share tools, resources, and mentorship to raise up more healing agents for the Kingdom.

About Us – From Brokenness to Bedrock

We are honored to share the journey that led us here to Utah, a land that unexpectedly became home and our missionary field. After a season of intense training and preparation, the Lord began to stir our hearts for a deeper calling: to serve the broken, the burdened, and the overlooked in this region. What began as a season of equipping has turned into a divine assignment. Today, we are planting our Bedrock Ministry base in Utah, serving this community while continuing to impact the nations.

Born in the Brokenness

The Bedrock vision was not birthed in comfort or ease, but from our own ashes. Ten years ago, while living in Denmark, we went through what would become the most painful and transformative season of our lives. As a couple, we hit rock bottom. Our childhood wounds, dysfunctions, and unresolved pain erupted, shattering our marriage, our family, and our identity as leaders.

Rebuilding wasn’t quick or easy. It became a long, sacred journey of restoration, one marked by deep inner healing, faith, and radical surrender to Jesus. In our darkest hours, we found ourselves completely alone, unsure where to turn, aching for a safe space to heal without judgment or shame.

We longed for a place where leaders could run when they were falling apart, not to hide, but to be restored. Over time, the Lord faithfully brought healing, mentors, and tools into our lives. What felt like death became the soil where something new was born.

Why We Exist

From that place of brokenness, Bedrock ASFM was born, built on the calling to serve others walking through the very valley we once knew. Our mission is to walk alongside pastors, missionaries, leaders, and families who are hurting, those who deeply desire healing but don’t know where to go.

We exist to be a refuge, a safe and sacred space where restoration is not only possible but promised in Christ.

We serve:

  • Pastors and ministry leaders facing burnout, isolation, and crisis

  • Marriages and families torn by wounds, addiction, or disconnection

  • Men and women longing to be whole, Christlike, and emotionally healthy

  • Missionaries and servants needing rest, realignment, and refreshing

Our Heartbeat

We believe healing is possible.
We believe wholeness is holy.
We believe Jesus restores what is broken.

Bedrock is for those who want to reflect Christ, deeply, authentically, and resiliently. It's for leaders, spouses, and parents who know they were made for more, but need a place to start again.

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground (a bedrock) and steadied me as I walked along.”

We fulfill this mission by:

Our Beginning.   The Bedrock Family

The Bedrock family officially began on July 7, 2007, when Eduardo and Sara united their lives in marriage. Their journey took them from Spain, where their calling was being shaped, to Denmark, where their children were born and where they would eventually face their most challenging and transformative season.

It was there, in the midst of deep personal and family struggles, that the Lord began preparing the soil for what would later become Bedrock ASFM. What started as a marriage grew into a ministry, born not from perfection, but from redemption.

Sara

Sara was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, in a Christian family marked by deep dysfunction and emotional instability. Her childhood was overshadowed by the effects of her father’s schizophrenia, as well as the pain of abuse, religious distortion, and emotional isolation.

In the midst of this brokenness, Sara found refuge in her best friend, someone she loved like a sister. This friend was her protector and confidante, a light in the dark.

When Sara tragically lost her at a young age, everything changed. In the grief and void that followed, at just 17 years old, Sara made a life-altering decision:

“If I am going to live, it will be for one reason only, to serve God and to help others.”

At age 18, she traveled to Mexico for theological training and began working in an orphanage. Since then, she has served in full-time ministry, bringing hope and healing to others from the very places where she herself once hurt the most.

Sara is not only shaped by her own journey through trauma but also equipped through professional training. She is a certified life coach and has been trained in Formational Prayer and Inner Healing through Healing Care International Ministries, a Christ-centered model of spiritual and emotional restoration.

Sara ministers today with deep compassion, sharp discernment, and a passion for the brokenhearted, especially women, families, and leaders carrying silent wounds.

Eduardo

Eduardo was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, with a curious mind and a desire to explore the world beyond his borders. At 18 years old, just before moving to Spain to pursue a degree in business, a classmate invited him into something far more significant than a school project, a relationship with Jesus Christ.

That unexpected conversation became the turning point of Eduardo’s life. The Gospel took root in his heart and radically changed the course of his future, not just geographically, but spiritually and eternally.

As Eduardo stepped into a life of faith, he faced resistance and doubt, especially within his own family. But through prayer and perseverance, the Lord moved. His mother and sisters eventually came to Christ, and the classmate who first shared the Gospel with him was miraculously healed of leukemia, a powerful testimony that confirmed God's hand on his life.

In the years that followed, Eduardo’s passion for healing and restoration only deepened. He pursued training to become a family therapist, equipping himself to walk with individuals and couples through trauma, conflict, and brokenness.

Today, he combines his theological insight, professional expertise, and missionary heart to serve leaders, marriages, and families seeking wholeness in Christ.

Eduardo leads with compassion, wisdom, and a strong desire to see others restored, spirit, soul, and body.

Eduardo carries a fathering spirit that brings safety and strength to those around him. His calm presence, wise counsel, and deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit make him a trusted guide for many who are walking through crisis or transition.

Whether mentoring a young leader, counseling a broken marriage, or training pastors across cultures, Eduardo ministers with gentleness, authority, and unwavering hope. His life reflects the belief that no story is too lost to be rewritten by the hand of God.

Gia

Born in Denmark, Gia is the youngest member of our family, a radiant nine-year-old whose presence brings light and joy wherever she goes. She is deeply charming and delightful, with a personality that captivates everyone she meets.

Gia’s tender heart carries an extraordinary sensitivity to God’s presence. She often surprises us with profound expressions like,

“I really miss God… I want to see Him here and now.”

Her name, Gia, comes from the Hebrew and means “God is good.” And truly, she has been a living testimony of His goodness in our lives. There is a unique aroma of God’s presence in Gia’s spirit, pure, sincere, and deeply moving.

Even at her young age, Gia demonstrates a remarkable servant’s heart. Whether she’s helping with ministry events, encouraging others with her joyful spirit, or praying with childlike faith, she consistently seeks ways to bless those around her.

Her desire to serve flows not from obligation, but from love for Jesus and compassion for others, a reflection of the One she longs to see face to face.

Gia is our little missionary, always ready to help, always eager to serve.

She often asks,

“Do you have a job for me at church?”

Mael

Born in Denmark, Mael is our firstborn, a thirteen-year-old miracle. After three consecutive miscarriages, we were broken and full of questions. But in His mercy, God gifted us with this boy, whose name means “prince” and whose presence has truly been royal in our home. From the very beginning, Mael carried something set apart, a purity of heart, a deep empathy, and a natural tenderness that continues to amaze us.

Mael’s understanding of the spiritual realm is far beyond his years. He often shares reflections about God that are so rich, so insightful, they stop us in our tracks.

Whether he’s in conversation with adults, comforting a friend, or reaching out to someone with special needs, Mael has an uncanny ability to connect, understand, and love others well, regardless of age or background. His relational intelligence is extraordinary.

What defines Mael most, however, is his servant’s heart and pastoral spirit. Recently, he told us that God is calling him to be a pastor and a counselor. Those words brought tears to our eyes, not because we needed confirmation, but because we already see that reality unfolding in him.

He comforts the hurting, serves with joy, and shows compassion without condition.

Mael is deeply generous, often giving without being asked, and caring for others with a purity that reflects the very heart of Jesus. He is a joy to raise, and a daily reminder that God hears, restores, and entrusts His most sacred callings to even the smallest of vessels.
